Our work supports food security, provides raw materials for industries, and creates jobs that help rural communities grow.We are committed to safe work practices, responsible land use, and protecting the environment, while building strong relationships with our host communities and creating opportunities for local talent.We are a fully mechanized, large-scale agricultural organization seeking an experienced and results-driven Mechanization Manager to lead and optimize all mechanization activities across our operations.As we continue to grow, Agbeyewa Farms is building a model that can expand across Africa, driven by professionalism, efficiency, and a clear focus on long-term impact. Mechanization Strategy & PlanningDevelop and implement mechanization strategies aligned with farm production goalsPlan seasonal machinery requirements and deployment schedulesEnsure optimal allocation and utilization of all mechanized assets Fleet & Equipment ManagementOversee daily operations of tractors, bulldozers, harvesters, and implementsMonitor equipment performance, uptime, and productivity levelsEstablish preventive and corrective maintenance systems to minimize downtimeMaintain accurate records of machine usage, servicing, and lifecycle costsOperational Efficiency & Cost ControlDrive efficiency in land preparation, planting, and harvesting operationsOptimize fuel consumption, spare parts usage, and maintenance costsImplement best practices to improve turnaround time and output Team Leadership & Capability DevelopmentLead, supervise, and develop a team of operators, mechanics, and technical staffEstablish clear performance targets and accountability structuresTrain and enforce safety and operational standards across all teams Safety, Compliance & Risk ManagementEnsure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental standardsImplement safe operating procedures for all machineryConduct regular safety audits and risk assessments Vendor & Stakeholder ManagementManage relationships with equipment suppliers, service providers, and contractorsOversee procurement of spare parts, and consumablesEvaluate and recommend new technologies and equipment upgrades Reporting & Continuous ImprovementProvide regular reports on mechanization performance, efficiency, and costsUse data-driven insights to improve productivity and decision-makingDrive continuous improvement initiatives across mechanization processes Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (Master’s degree is an added advantage)Minimum of 10-15 years’ relevant experience in mechanized agricultureProven experience managing mechanization operations in large-scale commercial farms in NigeriaStrong technical knowledge of tractors, bulldozers, implements, and farm equipmentDemonstrated leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams Key CompetenciesStrong leadership and team management skillsExcellent planning and organizational abilityDeep understanding of mechanized farming systemsCost management and operational efficiency expertiseProblem-solving and decision-making skillsHigh level of accountability and ownershipEffective communication and stakeholder management Success Metrics (KPIs)Equipment utilization rateDowntime reduction percentageCost per hectare for mechanized operationsPreventive maintenance compliance rateFuel efficiency and cost optimizationOn-time completion of farm operations Competitive Compensation. 5-day workweek.
