Role Summary
- The job holder will be involved in procedures that reduce credit risk in the organization, specifically management of early and deep bucket collections.
- He/she would work with the Collections Manager to monitor implemented processes for measurement of credit portfolio management.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the daily activities of Collections Leads to ensure strong execution and accountability.
- Coach, support, and monitor collections team members for effective and efficient performance.
- Review delinquent loan portfolios to identify default drivers, recovery gaps & emerging trends.
- Recommend and track corrective actions to improve collections outcomes and ensure timely closure of issues.
- Improve and optimize collections processes for better efficiency and performance.
- Prepare and review team performance and personnel monitoring reports.
- Manage administrative collections activities, including regional drives allocation management.
- Ensure collections activities are carried out in line with company policy, regulatory expectations, and internal standards.
- Support the review and enhancement of collections policies, procedures, and standards to reflect best practice.
- Monitor collection operations for emerging risks and recommend process improvements where needed and provide regular portfolio recovery insights and collections updates to leadership.
- Drive a culture of accountability, discipline, and customer-sensitive recovery practices within the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- 3+ years of experience in collections/field recovery, with at least 2 years in a Team Lead - Field Recovery role.
- Strong understanding of delinquency management and roll rates.
- Proven experience managing and motivating field teams.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with reporting tools is an advantage.
