At Kuda, we don’t just build products - we build people. We share the love in how we collaborate, carry everyone along as we grow, break boundaries to challenge what’s possible, and show up every day committed to doing better.
If you’re driven by purpose, excited by impact, and ready to help redefine the future of finance in Africa, you’ll feel right at home here.
Role Overview
We’re looking for a Brand Marketing Intern to support the team in making Kuda noticeable, memorable and easy to choose. Reporting to Emmanuel, our Senior Brand Marketing Manager, you’ll help deliver brand activity across above-the-line media, CSR, events and sponsorships, partnership activation and sales activation. This is a Level 1 role for someone early in their career who is organised, curious and excited to learn how a leading African fintech brand shows up in media, culture and customers’ everyday lives.
Responsibilities
- Support the planning and delivery of integrated brand campaigns across above-the-line channels such as TV, radio, out-of-home and other mass-reach media
- Help coordinate CSR initiatives, including research, logistics, partner communication, event support and impact documentation
- Support Kuda events, sponsorships and cultural activations from planning through execution, including guest lists, suppliers, branding, merchandise and on-the-ground coordination
- Help activate brand and customer partnerships, ensuring agreed benefits, assets and experiences are delivered consistently and on time
- Support sales activations that bring Kuda closer to prospective customers and encourage product discovery, sign-ups and usage
- Assist with campaign research, competitor monitoring and identifying relevant cultural moments, events, communities and partnership opportunities
- Prepare clear briefs, timelines, status updates, meeting notes and post-activation reports under the guidance of the Brand Marketing team
- Coordinate with internal teams including Creative, Communications, Product Marketing, Partnerships, Performance Marketing, Operations and Customer Experience
- Liaise professionally with agencies, media owners, event organisers, production partners and vendors, escalating risks or delays early
- Help manage brand assets and activation materials, including merchandise, signage, artwork files and campaign documentation
- Attend activations where required and help ensure every customer-facing touchpoint reflects Kuda’s brand standards and the “More Life” platform
- Track agreed campaign and activation measures such as reach, attendance, engagement, leads, account sign-ups, transactions and customer feedback
- Gather photos, videos, testimonials and other evidence of activity for reporting and future content, with the appropriate approvals
- Support purchase requests, invoices, budget trackers and other administrative tasks needed to deliver brand activity responsibly
- Contribute ideas in brainstorms and share observations about youth culture, customer behaviour and emerging trends in Nigeria
Requirements
- A recent graduate, final-year student or early-career candidate with an interest in brand marketing, advertising, events, partnerships or related work
- Some practical experience through an internship, volunteering, student society, campus activity, event, small business or personal project is helpful but not essential
- Strong organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage several small tasks and meet deadlines
- Clear written and verbal communication skills and confidence working with different teams and external partners
- A proactive, dependable attitude and willingness to learn, ask questions and take ownership of assigned tasks
- Good judgement and professionalism when representing Kuda at events, activations and partner engagements
- Comfortable using common workplace tools for presentations, spreadsheets, documents and project tracking
- Able to gather information, maintain accurate trackers and turn activity into concise updates and reports
- Creative curiosity and a strong interest in Nigerian culture, media, entertainment, sport, communities and consumer trends
- Customer-focused, collaborative and comfortable supporting both planning work and hands-on execution
- Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends when an event or activation requires it, with advance notice
- An interest in fintech, consumer technology or building brands for African audiences is an advantage.
