KEY RESPONSIBILITIESAlignment of Infrastructure Unit with IT StrategyMonitor / manage virtual InfrastructureOptimizing compute resources – Hosts, Virtual Machines, StorageOnsite virtual machines backup and recoveryEnsuring OEM recommended updates are applied to ensure virtual infrastructure is completely in compliance and securedManaging storage infrastructure and SAN fabricHP Storage and expansions, EMC VNX Unified storage, NetApp FAS, and IBM StorageManaging and monitoring Disaster & Recovery site resources for business continuityA key resource in the Disaster Recovery processEnsuring business-critical servers are replicated within acceptable RPO & RTO with the provision of daily reports on replication and link statusEnsuring business continuity testing is carried out in accordance with IT policyDay-to-day on-call administration and support of on-premise exchange servers, databases, and archiving of mailboxes as set in our IT policyNetwork management, monitoring, and optimizationPreventive Server and Workstation maintenanceEnsure availability, reliability, and optimal performance of all physical serversEnsuring all hardware are under support and warranty coverEnsure redundancy is completely built into the system to eliminate service failureReport and prepare strategies to maintain server infrastructureManagement of infrastructure at remote branch officeSourcing & purchasing of hardware/replacement parts and consumablesTo serve as a contact for suppliers, vendors, and service providersTo conduct product evaluations of upgraded or new hardware and software identifying strengths, weaknesses, and potential benefits and recommend purchasesVendor Management, review of contracts, and enforcement of policyManaging Information Technology CMDB and coordinating the distribution of equipmentDatacentre Management & Environmental monitoringEnsuring the datacentre meets approved standardsEnforcing proper onboarding of equipmentEnforcing approved security policies.Datacentre general infrastructure management including racking, cabling, organization, and other daily practices University degree in the field of computer science, engineering, or information systemsHolds VMWare Certified Professional certificationHolds Network related certificationAny of the following Microsoft certification preferred: Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA), Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), and Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) Competencies Strong knowledge of hypervisors (preferably Windows Hyper-V or VMware’s ESX/ ESXi, VMware vCenter server management)Configure, test, and maintain LAN equipment and services, including switches, routers, firewalls, and VPNIdentify, diagnose, and resolve network problems including network connectivity, traffic utilization, etc. using available network tools in a timely fashionHands-on experience with storage technologies iSCSI, FC, and storage devices NAS/SANKnowledge of Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, and Office System is requiredStandard system administration duties including server install, System/Application install, and patch management, Windows problem determination, and resolution, log analysis, etc.Participate in the creation, maintenance, testing, and execution of the Disaster Recovery planCreate, request, and present technical specifications and requirements for purchasing new servers and networking equipment via quote procedureAt least 3 years experience in business analysis or related fieldWriting of business functional and non-functional requirement documents and business casesExperience in understanding user needs and a business outcome approachExperience in testingExperience working with senior decision-makersSkills Innovative thinker – ability to turn customer requirements into workable solutionsAbility to research for information and resourcesHighly organized, methodical, and tenaciousKnowledge Experience in working with current information technologies including Support, Servers, and Network AdministrationKnowledge of user/desktop managementEvidence of hardware troubleshooting skills, including both desktop and server hardwareAttitude Highly self-motivated, and attentive to detailAbility to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environmentA desire to contribute to the development of the company’s AUM as a whole
