Key Responsibilities
- Source and evaluate suppliers based on quality, price, availability, and service.
- Obtain and compare quotations and negotiate favourable commercial terms.
- Prepare purchase orders and ensure timely processing and delivery of approved purchases.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier information, and documentation.
- Monitor purchase orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
- Support supplier onboarding, evaluation, and performance monitoring.
- Work closely with Inventory, Retail/F&B, Finance, and other departments to understand and fulfil procurement requirements.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend suitable alternatives where necessary.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, approval processes, and agreed specifications.
- Resolve supplier-related issues and escalate significant concerns to the Procurement Manager.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or HND in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional procurement/supply chain certification is an added advantage.
Experience:
- 2–4 years’ relevant experience in procurement, preferably within retail, hospitality, FMCG, entertainment, or a similar fast-paced environment.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Good understanding of procurement processes and documentation.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Good communication and relationship-management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and organisation.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple requests, and meet deadlines.
- High level of integrity, accountability, and commercial awareness.
