This role is open to candidates based in LATAM, Africa, and Eastern Europe. Please note that as this role supports U.S.-based clients, candidates must be available to work during U.S. business hours aligned with the client’s time zone.

Our client is a full-service marketing agency serving long-term retainer clients, including funded startups and consumer-facing brands. The agency is restructuring to prioritize growth in AI-driven content and search and is looking for a dedicated marketing professional to execute its content engine.

Role Overview

The Marketing Generalist will take ownership of day-to-day content execution across a small, fast-moving agency team. The role is primarily focused on content and email marketing and does not include managing paid advertising platforms such as Google Ads or Meta Ads.

The Marketing Generalist will independently manage a busy daily workflow across multiple client accounts and tools, solve problems, identify process gaps, and execute with minimal oversight.

The role will begin primarily as an internal execution position. As the Marketing Generalist develops familiarity with the agency’s clients, processes, and standards, they will become increasingly client-facing, typically within the first three months.

Key Responsibilities

Content Execution

  • Generate and publish content using established content calendars and AI-assisted workflows.

  • Create design assets, including email headers and social graphics.

  • Proof and refine AI-generated content to ensure quality, accuracy, and alignment with brand tone.

  • Schedule and manage social media posting across client accounts.

  • Publish and format content within client CMS platforms, including WordPress.

  • Support broader marketing campaign execution by preparing content, communications, and related assets needed for campaign launches.

Email & Lifecycle Marketing

  • Build and manage lifecycle nurture emails, primarily through the agency’s CRM and marketing platform.

  • Support email design, list segmentation, and campaign scheduling.

  • Monitor email performance and contribute to ongoing optimization.

Workflow, Reporting & Collaboration

  • Support end-of-month reporting on content and email performance.

  • Participate in regular team check-ins to stay aligned on priorities across accounts.

  • Manage assigned tasks and deadlines through the agency’s project-management system.

  • Accurately track time against client work to support account-level visibility and profitability.

  • Independently identify and resolve process gaps and day-to-day issues.

  • Participate directly in client communication as familiarity with assigned accounts, processes, and standards develops.

  • Become a trusted execution partner across assigned client accounts.

Qualifications

Experience

  • Experience in content marketing, email marketing, or a similar marketing generalist role.

  • Proven experience executing content and email marketing campaigns.

  • Experience with CRM and marketing automation platforms; HubSpot experience is preferred but not required.

  • Experience using AI tools for marketing and content workflows.

  • Basic familiarity with design collaboration tools or processes.

  • Experience working within a marketing agency supporting multiple client accounts is a plus.

  • WordPress or comparable CMS experience is a plus.

  • Familiarity with Claude, including Projects, Skills, or related AI content workflows, is a plus.

Skills

  • Working proficiency with HubSpot or a comparable CRM and marketing platform.

  • Ability to use AI tools for content generation and copywriting within defined workflows.

  • Ability to work across CMS, project-management, CRM, communication, and AI platforms.

  • Creative eye for design.

  • Strong self-starter mentality and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to independently learn unfamiliar tools and troubleshoot issues.

  • Ability to identify and close process gaps without constant direction.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple client workflows simultaneously.

  • Ability to accurately track time across client accounts and projects.

  • Ability to work within company-approved AI environments and follow confidentiality and data-handling policies.

What Success Looks Like

Within the first 90 days:

  • Take full ownership of content generation, publishing, scheduling, and posting across assigned client accounts.

  • Manage lifecycle email campaigns reliably and independently.

  • Consistently manage tasks, deadlines, and time tracking across multiple client accounts.

  • Become comfortable operating across the agency’s core technology stack and approved AI workflows.

  • Demonstrate strong self-sufficiency when solving day-to-day platform and process issues.

  • Build trust with the team as a reliable and detail-oriented executor.

  • Develop enough familiarity with assigned clients, processes, and strategy to begin participating directly in client communication and become increasingly client-facing.

Opportunity

The Marketing Generalist will have the opportunity to take ownership of content and email execution across multiple client accounts within a fast-moving marketing agency. The role will begin primarily with internal execution and expand into direct client communication as the candidate develops familiarity with the agency’s clients, processes, and strategy.
