About this role
Set up and manage Development Control Company of Alaro City, with responsibility forcreating an effective and efficient built urban environment and regulations that ensure a safeand healthy environment for all.• Review development plans from clients to determine compliance before circulation to the DCCCommittee (of which the DCC Manager is a member).• Undertake effective consultation with customers before and during all works concerning theirproperty.• Administer DCC review and approval fees to clients in accordance with the fees structure.• Providing required information to clients and contractors on policies, parcel plans, buildingdevelopment, and others.• Ensure contractors onsite understand DCC policies, parcel plans, building development, designspecifications and contractors’ code.• Manage, track and coordinate development approvals. Organize and monitor schedules andsee that deadlines are met.• Liaise between DCC, clients, contractors, regulators, Alaro City infrastructure delivery teamand other interested parties.• Complete any necessary research on practices and ensure that development policies are inline with the industry regulations.• Conduct routine site visit to ensure strict adherence to submitted and approved developmentplans and quality workmanship.• Prepare detailed reports on any deviations in workmanship, construction activity or schedulestogether with appropriate recommendations.• Prepare and submit detailed analytical reports as scheduled to provide decision-makers withreliable and accurate information on the status of ongoing DCC projects.• Develop and present architectural design proposals, renders, drawings, specifications, andbudgets for Alaro City projects.• Frequent site inspections to ensure all development are carried out in accordance with DCCpolicies, procedures, and guidelines. Witnesses testing and quality control activities to ensurecompliance with contract requirements.• Assist in the daily DCC administration, planning, and appraisals.• Ensure contractors onsite understand DCC policies, parcel plans, building development, andcontractors’ code.• Carry out a thorough study of the drawings and specifications. Check for errors anddiscrepancies in the drawings and specifications and report to the Development ControlEngineering team.• Prepare detailed reports on any deviations in workmanship, construction activity or schedulestogether with appropriate recommendations.• Perform any other tasks as assigned by your Line Manager.REQUIREMENTSHard skills and experience:1. A degree in Architecture with equivalent experience in Project Management, ConstructionManagement or equivalent.2. At least eight years’ experience involving mixed-use developments or diversified propertyportfolios.3. General construction knowledge and ability to regularly interact with engineers, architects,city planners, and general contractors4. Ability to read and interpret CAD files, including MEP.5. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite - Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.6. Excellent knowledge of urban and town planning best practices, policies and standards.7. Excellent knowledge of OSHA regulations and guidelines8. Excellent reporting skills.Soft skills:1. Mature, pragmatic and flexible.2. Team player but comfortable working autonomously.3.
