This role is open to candidates based in LATAM, Africa, and Eastern Europe. Please note that as this role supports U.S.-based clients, candidates must be available to work during U.S. business hours aligned with the client’s time zone.

The Full Stack Applications Developer will maintain and improve two existing business applications, including an internal application used to manage custom orders. The role will involve fixing bugs, performing updates, developing new features, and building APIs and integrations.

This role requires 3+ years of professional software development experience and strong hands-on experience with the Laravel framework. The Full Stack Applications Developer will work across both front-end/UI and back-end development, including Laravel/PHP, MySQL databases, APIs, integrations, and AI-assisted development.

Key Responsibilities

Application Development & Maintenance

  • Maintain and improve two existing business applications.

  • Develop and deploy new features based on business requirements.

  • Fix bugs, troubleshoot issues, and perform application updates.

  • Review existing functionality and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Help ensure applications remain reliable, secure, and easy to use.

Internal Custom Order Application

  • Maintain and improve the internal application used to manage custom orders.

  • Develop new functionality based on evolving business needs.

  • Improve workflows and the user experience for internal teams.

  • Ensure data and order information move accurately through the application.

Full Stack Development

  • Develop both front-end interfaces and back-end functionality.

  • Build and improve UI components with a focus on usability and performance.

  • Develop server-side functionality using Laravel.

  • Work with MySQL databases, including queries, data structures, and application integrations.

  • Troubleshoot issues across front-end, back-end, and database layers.

APIs & Integrations

  • Build and maintain APIs and third-party integrations.

  • Connect internal applications with external business systems.

  • Troubleshoot integration and data-transfer issues.

  • Work with API documentation to implement new integrations.

  • Support HubSpot API integrations when applicable.

AI-Assisted Development

  • Use AI development tools to improve development speed and productivity.

  • Leverage tools such as Claude or similar AI coding assistants for development, debugging, research, and prototyping.

  • Evaluate AI-generated code to ensure implementations meet quality and security standards.

  • Stay current with AI-enabled development workflows and tools.

Qualifications

Experience

  • 3+ years of professional software development experience.

  • Strong hands-on experience with the Laravel framework.

  • Experience maintaining and improving production applications.

  • Experience developing both front-end and back-end functionality.

  • Experience working with MySQL databases.

  • Experience building APIs and system integrations.

Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with Laravel and PHP.

  • Experience developing front-end interfaces and UI functionality.

  • Strong experience working with MySQL and database management.

  • Ability to troubleshoot bugs and maintain existing production applications.

  • Strong understanding of APIs, integrations, and data flows.

  • Experience using AI tools as part of software development workflows.

  • Ability to independently take ownership of applications and technical projects.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with close attention to detail when troubleshooting and releasing new functionality.

Bonus Experience

  • HubSpot API experience.

  • Experience with Magento.

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is a major plus.

  • Experience integrating e-commerce or business management platforms.

  • Successfully takes ownership of the maintenance and ongoing development of the existing applications.

  • Resolves bugs and completes necessary updates reliably.

  • Begins delivering new features into the applications.

  • Develops an understanding of the architecture, database, integrations, and business workflows behind the applications.

  • Establishes confidence with the existing codebase and development processes.

Longer-Term Success

  • Consistently delivers new features and application improvements.

  • Takes ownership of larger development projects and application expansions.

  • Improves application reliability, usability, and functionality.

  • Successfully builds and maintains APIs and integrations.

  • Becomes a trusted technical resource for the continued development of the applications.
